So now Christmas is almost upon us and of course I now need to make some mince pies to use up the immense supply of mincemeat I made a little while back in preparation.
I got this book back at Cake International when it was on offer as a 2 for £10 deal (I bought James Martin’s Dessert book with it). I’ve been dying to use it for a while to make some bread but needs must when I was making the pies and needed a recipe for sweetcrust pastry as I still haven’t found my ‘go-to’ recipe just yet.

I originally found this brownie recipe online after scouring the internet. I have a friend who is gluten intolerant and she always has to go without whenever I bake for friends so I specifically wanted a recipe for her. She also loves chocolate so a brownie seemed perfect. I’ve made these brownies a few times now, it’s become my go to recipe and I have literally never had a bad result with them.
As well as being gluten free, they are also dairy free so especially good for you! (well slightly anyway). This is a recipe I know and love and I want to share everything with you, that I think you will enjoy.
